Our Hospital

Mountain Valley Veterinary Hospital was established in 1979 to provide compassionate service to the pet owners of Buncombe and Madison counties.  The hospital was built in its present location because of a need for veterinary service in West Asheville.  Since that beginning, a number of other veterinary hospitals have opened in our neighborhood.  In this crowded environment, our family-owned, full service clinic strives to provide excellent quality medical and surgical care in a comfortable, familiar environment.  Our emphasis is on understanding the needs and capabilities of our patients and their owners.  With that perspective, we are able to enhance the bond that exists between our clients and their pets.

Our Hospital is a nearly paperless facility.  We are able to provide immediate medical and diagnostic information about your pet to you, to boarding facilities, and to other veterinarians in case of emergency.  We also interact telemedically with other facilities to quickly access specialty veterinary services for your pet should such service become necessary.
